Photography is really not difficult to master at all, in fact, you’ll be taking pro pics in your very first lesson! The courses are designed to equip you with the knowledge, skill, and confidence to express yourself effortlessly. Compared to riding a bicycle, the techniques will become second nature to you…all you need to do is have fun and let your creative juices flow!

MODULE ONE – “Shooting in Manual Mode”
Whilst your camera does a pretty decent job in creating a beautiful “holiday” pic whilst using auto mode, the camera does the thinking on your behalf, thereby depriving you of your creative flare. If you want to express your thoughts and get the pro shots that you’re looking for, then this course will teach you just that! In “manual” mode you’ll have full control over your camera, thereby allowing you to shoot the pic you want…every time! From doing brilliant portraits through to picture telling landscape scenes and those milky waterfalls you’ve been yearning to take.

*The knowledge of shooting in manual mode is fundamental prior to doing any of the other
modules*

MODULE TWO – “Composition, how to create that stunning looking photo”
Composition is the corner stone to creating a really stunning photo, irrespective whether it is a landscape scene or a portrait shoot. In this practical course, you’ll learn how to set-up and compose for a variety of subjects and scenes in no time at all.

MODULE THREE – “Manipulating Light”
Photography is all about capturing reflections of light, as such we need to know how to manipulate the light in order to create the look, mood and feel in the photograph we want to capture. This includes; metering the available light correctly and effortlessly, balancing light, filtering, reflecting and blending different light sources.

Equipment required: DSLR camera, camera manual, tripod UV & polarising filters (Off-camera flash if you have one)

MODULE FOUR – “Macro Photography”
Macro photography brings to life the finest detail of a subject that the human eye normally cannot see. You’ll certainly look at things with a whole new dimension having done this course. Few fields of photography can be more powerfully expressed than in macro photography. It’s an incredible medium to reveal the beauty, structure, shape, colours and texture of things we see but take for granted.

MODULE FIVE – “Sea & Landscape Photography”
Come and learn how to shoot stunning sea and landscape pics, where the rugged West Coast lends itself perfectly to express your creative flair. Whether you wish to portray the “misty” shoreline, relentless power of the ocean, or flowing carpets of flowers, this is the place where you can experience it all.

MODULE SIX – “Portrait photography”
Taking a great portrait pic doesn’t always require the use of costly studio lights and gear. In retro respect, many top professionals prefer using natural light compared to any other light source. This course teaches you how to shoot portraits outdoors or indoors perfectly with minimal equipment.
